Rhys, often known as “Luiz” among Portuguese and Spanish speakers, is a multilingual translation and language professional with more than 10 years’ experience across translation, localisation and language teaching. Having spent years living and working in Brazil as both a translator and teacher, he has developed a strong understanding of how language, culture and context influence the way a message is received.

Alongside his language background, Rhys has several years’ experience within financial and professional services, working with businesses across a wide range of sectors. He currently works in a senior advisory role at Sedulo, supporting businesses and developing new client relationships.

This combination of commercial and linguistic experience means Rhys focuses on more than simply translating words. He understands the importance of communicating the right message, in the right tone, for the right audience. Working across four languages, he brings cultural understanding, linguistic expertise and commercial awareness to every project.

Born in Italy, she moved to Manchester in 2018 after a brief period living in Dublin. Her academic background brings together two complementary areas: a foundation in Economics and Finance from Italy, followed by further studies in Digital Media and Communications in the UK, where she discovered communication to be one of her strongest skills.

At Weston Languages, she worked as Account Manager for Italian Accounts, acting as a bridge between cultures and languages. Her role included translating documents between Italian and English, providing live interpretation during meetings, and supporting multilingual communication in fast-paced corporate environments.

Being bilingual is not just a skill for her, but a lens through which she approaches communication. She helps people and businesses understand one another clearly, regardless of language or cultural context.

Diogo is a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil with extensive experience in translation, proofreading, subtitling and language teaching.

He currently works as a UX/UI Designer for the American company Scout Climate, while continuing to work independently as a freelance translator and proofreader. His translation experience covers a broad range of content, including films, television series, documentaries and technical material between English and Portuguese.

Diogo studied English and Portuguese teaching methodology at FACEL before beginning his teaching career at Baltimore English Schools in Curitiba, where he worked for several years. He later moved to England, further developing his English while continuing to teach Brazilian students living in the UK.

Alongside his professional translation work, Diogo has completed projects for international companies, digital platforms and mobile games. He has also translated and published a book in Brazil, further demonstrating his ability to adapt complex content for Portuguese-speaking audiences.

Marcus has over 30 years of experience as an English teacher and English-Portuguese translator, working across general, academic, scientific and business contexts.

He is also the founder and owner of Baltimore English Schools, a language institute that has been operating for more than 30 years, where he has worked as a teacher, coordinator and school director. Throughout his career, Marcus has taught students and supported organisations from a wide range of professional, cultural and international backgrounds.

Having also spent significant time living in the United States, Marcus speaks English to a native-level standard, giving him an exceptional understanding of both the language itself and the cultural nuances behind effective communication.
